How to build an emergency kit + Go Bag | February Referral Newsletter
Recent winter snowstorms have shown us how important it is to be prepared in case of an emergency. On page 2 you can find instructions to build your own 72-hours Emergency Kit and what to put in a "go bag."
Unlike the weather, the Real Estate market has not cooled down. If you know someone who's thinking of selling – give me a call at (416) 993-8199. You can help them take advantage of this sellers' market while helping the kids at SickKids.
Have you checked out our Real Estate Meetups? Every last Thursday of the month we bring in an expert to share insider tips and info on all areas of Real Estate. Next one is happening on February 27th – head to our Facebook page to RSVP.

An unexpected bond
Owen is a 16-year-old elite hockey player. Roux is a tiny three-year-old girl. Two kids that couldn’t be more different, share one unbreakable bond. Both were diagnosed with childhood cancer within weeks of each other at SickKids. Going through treatment at the same time brought their families close together. Both Owen & Roux’s parents knew each other by name—they were all school teachers in the same school board, and often at the same school. Hours spent together, supporting their kids, watching them undergo surgeries and chemotherapy just a few rooms away from each other has created a lifetime bond between the parents, and an adorable relationship between little Roux and Owen.Owen ended treatment in August and is working hard at physiotherapy, with hopes of playing in the OHL. In July, Roux was cancer free; however on October 1, a chest x-ray revealed that her cancer had relapsed. She is currently back in treatment.
Why We Give to SickKids
Born, grew up, and now raising my own daughter right here in Toronto, I have so many lasting memories of SickKids Hospital.
As one of the best children's hospitals in the world, SickKids has been fighting for kid's health since 1875. With over 80,000 emergency visits and more than 12,000 operations a year, so many families and lives have been touched upon by SickKids. On top of that, SickKids is also a leading research institute in children's health. The invention of Pablum. The first successful separation of conjoined twins. The first kidney transplant from a living donor. Discovering the gene responsible for cystic fibrosis.
From lab benches to bedsides, the health care and scientific advances are only made possible with generous donations. The Boiron Group is on a mission to raise $25,000 to help The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) continue their fight. For every referral we receive, a significant portion of our commission goes to SickKids. So, your referrals really do help the children!
